Buffalo Roamed Exploration

Write up your story in the fine tradition and language of the New York Times in the time period you select. This means using the correct fonts, type faces, and wording of the period. Read over the job descriptions before and after you are back from gathering your material.

Enhance your story and presentation by using 21st century technology to include images, sounds and appropriate animations with the help of contemporary software.

TEAMWORK:
Collaboration and group planning are important in this job. Read over the duties required to complete this project. If you are working with a group, consider dividing duties up according to these job descriptions. If you are working alone all the jobs are your responsibility!

GUIDELINES:
1. Review the project rubric to make sure you have all the elements covered.

2. Keep track of your sources. Provide name and date and place for personal interviews. Include URLs when citing Web sites. Get permission before you use pictures from Web sites or books. Permission by email is usually easy to get.

3. Remember to make your “article” look and sound old fashioned using modern technology. For instance you may create newspaper pages using Photoshop and/or Microsoft Word that employs old fonts and then load the article into a Power Point slide show.

4. Base your story on real facts that you have researched. It is OK to use a little creative license but it should be believable and fit the true stories.
